Appointments

An appointment system is in operation for the GPs throughout the day Monday – Friday. 

Appointments may be made over the telephone between 8.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. or in person.  Urgent problems will be seen as soon as possible on the same day by appointment.

Please contact the receptionist in the first instance who will then arrange a time for you to attend.  If you wish to see a particular clinician please make this known to the receptionist who will offer you the next available appointment. 

If your usual doctor is unavailable you may consult any of the other doctors. 

Surgery Closing Days

The Surgery will be closed on all public/bank holidays.

The surgery may be closed on some Wednesday afternoons for training purposes contact reception for details.

If you are unable to keep your appointment please inform the reception staff as soon as possible.

Extended Hours
 
Newark and Sherwood Clinical Commissioning group consists of several practices that include, Sherwood Medical Partnership, Abbey Medical Group, Hill View Practice, Rainworth Medical Centre, Bilsthorpe Practice, Middleton Lodge Practice and Major Oak Practice.
 
The appointments are available to book through your own GP surgery and the appointments will be available at Crown Medical Centre, Clipstone and also The Abbey Medical Group, Blidworth. Appointments are 15 minutes long.
 
Should the GP wish to request further investigations or a referral, the information will be passed back to your usual GP practice. For this reason patients will be asked to give consent to share their medical records. This is to allow full access in the appointment and to enable information to be shared where necessary.
